Empower Families. Educate Students. Enrich Your Calling
At Family Academy, we believe that teachers play a vital role in mentoring, guiding, and equipping parents to lead their children’s education. As a Teacher Consultant (TC), you’ll use your professional expertise to support homeschooling families while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy to shape your teaching approach.
What Does a Teacher Consultant Do?
Advise, Guide, and Support
Parents often need encouragement and direction in their homeschooling journey. As a Teacher Consultant, you will:
- Coach parents in structuring their child’s education.
- Provide expert guidance on curriculum choices and teaching strategies.
- Help families overcome obstacles in learning and development.
- Mediate between parents and teens, fostering understanding and academic success.
Offer Professional Expertise
Family Academy Teacher Consultants are certified educators, most holding a state-issued teaching certificate or an alternative certification from organizations such as ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International).
TCs are professional members of Family Academy who work as independent educators, contracting with our Affiliate Schools to provide:
- One-on-one coaching with homeschooling families.
- Small group instruction through weekly Learning Centers.
- Tailored academic programs that meet each student’s needs.
Why Become a Teacher Consultant?
Work From Home & Prioritize Your Family
Many of our Teacher Consultants are homeschooling parents themselves. This role allows you to balance your own family’s education while building a rewarding career.
Blend Ministry & Business
Being a TC is more than a job—it’s a calling. You’ll have the freedom to design your own teaching model while helping families nurture their children’s faith, character, and academic excellence.
Join a Supportive Network
When you become a Family Academy TC, you join a community of like-minded educators who share resources, insights, and encouragement.
Teaching with Family Academy means I can uphold my Christian beliefs, be autonomous to meet student needs, and be supported by the network that exists between teachers. It is like no other.

All instruction should be provided from a biblical worldview, and we encourage our teachers to deepen their understanding through resources such as Worldview Leadership Academy.
