This is through renowned film maker Damon Evans who has a contract with Family Academy. This course will be accessed on his platform and is self-paced. Parent correction is required. The course price is $300.00. All information will be shipped to the student's home with login credentials and website access. An email for the student is required to receive emails from Damon.
Our middle/high school life skills 101 class is designed to enhance students' understanding and application of essential everyday living skills.
Topics include basic health and nutrition, cooking fundamentals, personal finance management, laundry literacy, effective communication and emotional intelligence, stress management, time management, decision-making and goal setting, problem-solving, mechanics/garage, career exploration/planning your future, self-care and goal setting. Through fun video-based lessons, hands on assignments applying each skill, and real-life scenarios/student workshops, students will learn life skills that are essential for personal development and future success.
This one-semester elective course is like nothing you’ve ever seen and a journey students will love and find incredibly valuable!
This course is accessed away from Family Academy Online. The content is owned by renowned Hollywood Filmmaker Damon Evans and his wife. They have granted permission for Family Academy to market this course to our students.
Students will use Family Academy Online to submit a weekly form justifying the hours in the course and send a copy of their best work or a digital portfolio of work completed to justify the credits that are earned. Teacher Consultant John Elliott oversees this course.
