Megawords 8: Multisyllabic Words for Reading, Spelling, and Vocabulary is the eighth in a series of books that organizes multisyllabic words according to their phonetic structure. This Teacher’s Guide includes techniques for teaching the reading and spelling of words that contain assimilated prefixes such as com-, ad-, sub-, and in-. Megawords 8 includes many words from earlier books in the series and thus provides an excellent review of syllabication, word endings, and accent patterns previously introduced. It assumes mastery of the concepts and coding skills presented in Megawords 1 through 7.
