Grades: 9-12th Course Length: One Semester Available Credit: PE .50 for each of the 3 semester courses PE 1 is a fun way of accounting for the Physical Education requirements for High School. This course has three tests for the student to take to see if they meet or exceed National Fitness Standards. If they do, they qualify for the Presidential Fitness Award and can earn a medal and lanyard to wear at graduation! Typically, the PE 1 course will include counting steps weekly. A weekly hour report or step report. There are some lessons on warmups and cool downs and stretches. This is great for any student. If you are taking the course for the first time, you will do all the assignments. If you are taking PE 2 or PE 3 you do not need to do any portion of homework but complete your weekly steps totals on Friday. IF you have NOT earned your presidential fitness award, you can do the portions in Week 1, 9 and 18.
